The main objective of this competition was to encourage students to develop critical thinking, improve their communication skills, and express their opinions on a contemporary social issue that directly affects their generation. The students spoke passionately, presenting factual data, real-life examples, and logical reasoning to support their viewpoints. The “Boon” side highlighted the advantages of mobile phones in education, connectivity, and access to information, while the “Bane” side discussed the problems of addiction, health hazards, and declining face-to-face interactions among the youth.
