The National Flag of India, fondly known as the Tiranga, is the symbol of our nation’s unity, freedom, and sovereignty. It consists of three horizontal stripes: saffron at the top representing courage and sacrifice, white in the middle symbolizing peace and truth, and green at the bottom signifying growth and prosperity. At the center of the white band is the navy-blue Ashoka Chakra with 24 spokes, representing righteousness and continuous progress. Adopted on 22nd July 1947, the flag reflects the rich heritage, diversity, and strength of India. It inspires every citizen to uphold the values of harmony, integrity, and patriotism, reminding us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
